CAKE Training

On Wednesday 11th January 2023, our whole service team completed training at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.

CAKE is an interactive resource designed to support professionals in the workplace. It is a recipe for self-care, individual and team well-being. Our Service Managers, Team Leaders, CEO and Operational Support Manager all attended the training that was facilitated by Kath and Caroline.

Our service team are very excited to take the material they learned into their services which will allow them all to help each other to discuss issues, share stories and plan any actions that need to be taken to help everyone be the best they can be.

CAKE, which stands for Caring for self and others, Attending to what’s happening, Keeping connected and Enabling and empowering, is now available for nurses, health professionals and a wide range of teams across different organisations. It is available as an online resource, but can be particularly effective when used face-to-face in staff teams.
